The Sony Betamax is 40 years old this year.

In 1975 Sony was promising a big game changer for tv watching audience it would be called the Betamax was advertised as the next big thing



If you can program the time in to it you could recorded your tv shows when u were out and not mis them.

It is 1 year older than VHS
but VHS was a lot more popular than Betamax ...
the big reason was Betamax could only record 1 hour compared to VHS 2 hours
